Scholastic Book Fairs and Reading Programs
Scholastic Book Fairs conducts about 120,000 school-based fairs annually in the U.S., helping schools create a community culture of reading. Cutler Ridge Elementary PTA, with the help of our parents and school community has been able to raise $1,400 in Scholastic Dollars last year, and has been able to upgrade the Media Center inventory, as well as offer many incentives for our Reading Club and to the students.
Every dollar we earn from our fundraising goes back into the school for the benefit of the students, teachers, administrators and staff. We can only raise money when we have volunteers, and they are the heart of our organization. Please take a bit of time to look at our upcoming Scholastic events, and sign up to be a volunteer if you can.

Kids in grades K-5 sign a reading contract in their Language Arts class. Each month between October and March, kids who finish their reading goal are rewarded with a free personal pan pizza voucher from their teacher.

The money we raise through these book fairs help us to improve our media center, and promote literacy school-wide. We are at risk of losing this fundraising opportunity without the help of parents like you to help us out. We depend on volunteers to make these fundraisers happen.
